Problems

One of the most common issues with this particular model is that the pitch and speec controlls become erratic over time. This is simply caused by dirty potentiometers underneath these controlls. A shot of DeOxit will remedy the issue.

These units contain a few tantalum capacitors on the PCB inside the unit. They should be replaced before the unit is put into regular service as they have a prepensity to fail violently for their small size.

Also, thses usings area getting to be 40+ years old now, so any electrolytic capacitors which have not been replaced on the main PCB should be done as soon as possible. This style of capacitor degrades with time as the electrolyte paste inside of the capacitor drys up. When this happens, the power supply for your turn table will no longer function properly and you risk damage to some expensive and difficult to finds parts should this happen.
